Sunday 23rd October.

Day started early with 5:30am departure from hotel for those going back to Manila on Thai Airlines and John Sourke who was flying back to Singapore also.

Vans arrived at good time and scheduled departure was achieved at 5:30am.

Whilst on motorway Stephen decided to check that he still had his ticket, Holy S**t,, the departure time from Bangkok Airport is 7:30 not 9:30 as previous years, nobody had picked up the new time.

Urgent phone call to leading van that pit stops reroute were now cancelled and to try to get van to get there ASAP.

Arrived airport at 6:50, much panic and confusion as golf bags and luggage was unloaded and raced to check-in counter.

Tony forgot to pay 2nd van so back out of airport to give money to driver, sort out John's luggage before it finishes in Manila instead of Singapore.

One booking was incorrectly made for the previous day, as usual Thai staff were very helpful and we had all checked in by 7:10.

Booking mix up was rectified at no additional cost.

Immigration was a dog fight as renovations are taking place and not enough counters available to handle the crowd.

Finally processed and thru security at about 7:30am 'Final Call' for TG621 showing on board.

Boarding gate was F2A one of the distant gates, so Stephen made his way to the boarding gate to let staff know we are all on the way.

Those who had made it to the gate were told to board, down the steps and onto a bus, bus dispatched and a small van held to bring those still not at gate.

Bus then proceeds to Gate 'B' where we climb steps to an air bridge and boarded plane. (What was that all about).

Still waiting for 2 passengers to board plane, guess who?

You guessed it Hans had taken Bob under his wing and proceeded to Gate 'A' (not "F") where on arrival were told to go to correct gate about 1 km the other way.

Finally all on board and away we went.

Arrived manila and we able to get to Angeles in time for a quick shower and then watch the World Cup Rugby Final.

What a day!!! But all worked out OK and seemed a fitting end to an eventful trip all round.
