FORMAT FOR TOURNAMENTS

GENERAL COMPETITIONS:

                     All stroke events will be Stroke/count putts and will have a Best Net and Best Gross winners.

                     All Stableford events will be contested in two (2) divisions i.e. <18 and 19> handicaps.

                     NOTE:  In the event there are 10 or less players, only one winner will be awarded.

                     Players must have a recognized BSGC handicap (5 cards recorded) to participate in the following events.

                     MONTHLY MEDAL:  To be held on a nominated day each month (first Tuesday of each month when possible) January through December with a Medal of Medal competition to be held in December.  Club will provide an suitable award to the winner.  In case of a tie, winner will be decided by count back as described below but all players will be eligible for the Medal of Medals. 

                     CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:  Winner will be the player with the best NET SCORE from 4 of first 5 nominated Club Championship rounds.  The Club Championship rounds are to be held on the first Tuesday of the month of January, March, May, July, September and November.   Players playing on these days will have their score recorded.

                     Players who miss any of the designated months may play Club Championship round by nominating BEFORE teeing off (at registration) that this round is to be considered as a club championship round.

                     COUNT BACK:  The system to be used in case of a tie will be back nine, and then front nine.  In case score is still tied it will be determined by count back starting from hole 18 until a winner is determined.  Handicaps will be used in all cases.
